Our Benefits and Compensation

Providing the best care for our patients means providing the best care to our team. As one of the state’s largest employers, CAMC embraces the responsibility of providing fair and competitive pay, valuable benefits, opportunities for recognition and advancement, and helpful services to our employees.

Salary Structures

Each job at CAMC is assigned a pay range with minimum and maximum salary levels that define what the hospital pays for that job. These pay ranges are regularly updated to reflect market trends for similar jobs. While we do not post salary ranges, we work hard to ensure that the salaries paid are fair and competitive. Within each pay range, there is flexibility to compensate employees competitively and fairly based on their demonstrated skill, experience and performance.

Special Pay Programs

In addition to standard compensation, CAMC offers various incentive and special pay programs for eligible team members. Depending on your department and position, you may qualify for shift differential and overtime pay.

The company offers two comprehensive medical plans for eligible employees. The plans include coverage for a wide range of medically necessary services and prescription drug benefits through a three tier network (CAMC preferred network, Highmark network, and non-network).

  • High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)
The HDHP is available with lower bi-weekly premiums and a higher deductible. The deductible amount is determined by federal guidelines based on election of a single plan or an employee plus child/spouse or family plan.

  • PPO Plan
The PPO plan has higher bi-weekly premiums and a lower deductible. Coverage begins day 1 with co-pay cost share for office visits and prescriptions.

CAMC offers a vision plan through EyeMed Vision. The plan provides coverage for vision examinations, eyeglass lenses and frames, or contacts.

Delta Dental of West Virginia administers the CAMC dental benefit plan. Delta Dental has three levels of providers; PPO, Premier and Non-participating. You will experience the lowest out-of-pocket costs if your dentist is in the PPO network.

Life insurance gives you the opportunity to protect your family’s dreams, ambitions and finances should an unexpected death occur. The employee and dependent life insurance plans are fully insured and administered by Lincoln Financial Group.

The company provides employees with term life insurance equal to one times their annual salary (not to exceed $50,000) at no cost to the employee.

This is a form of insurance covering death or specific types of injury as a result of an accident.

Short-term disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance is designed to pay a benefit to you in the event you cannot work because of a covered illness or injury. CAMC offers both flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts that are administered by myCafeteriaPlan. These accounts allow you to use pre-tax dollars to pay for out-of-pocket medical expenses for yourself and your dependents (children up to age 26). Examples of eligible expenses include co-pays, deductibles, prescription drugs, dental, orthodontia, eyeglasses, etc.

The dependent day care spending account can be used for out-of-pocket expenses related to child care or elder care services for your dependents.  The maximum contribution allowed by the IRS is $5,000 ($2,500 for employees who are married but file separately).

A health savings account (HSA) is a special bank account owned by an individual where contributions to the account are used to pay for current and future medical expenses or specifically, to offset the deductible of High Deductible Health plans.
