Chafik Assal, MD, performed CAMC's first pulsed field ablation (PFA) in an innovative technique primarily used for atrial fibrillation (AFib). PFA employs short bursts of high-energy electrical pulses to selectively high-energy target heart tissue responsible for AFib, minimizing damage to the surrounding areas.
